Milford Sound Sightseeing Flight
The flight to this World heritage site follows the Rangitata River to the Southern Alps. We then track south viewing the landscapes on the east and west of the mountains that are unique to this region including waterfalls, alpine lakes and river valleys. We continue along the Alps and over the Central Otago Lakes district and on to the majestic Milford Sound. After taking in the natural wonder of this region we travel home flying around Mt Cook with its amazing ice falls, crevasses and view of the Tasman Glacier Terminal Lake complete with icebergs. On the way back across the Mackenzie Basin you will see the turquoise - blue Lake's Tekapo and Pukaki, Round Hill ski field before following the Orari River past Mt Peel back to the Air Rangitata airfield.
